Posted

When Meredith Liebman visits her parents Barbara and Joseph Liebman, residents of Rockville Centre for more than 34 years, there will be a new “Diplomat” in town. Meredith — Dr. Liebman — is now certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as a pediatrician. An IB graduate of South Side High School (class of 1999), she attended Tufts University where she graduated magna cum laude in 2003 with concentrations in biology and child development. She then went on to receive her M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2007, during which time she participated in immunology research that was published in several peer- reviewed journals.

She completed her basic training in medicine by serving for three years as a pediatric resident at the Floating Hospital for Children, Tufts Medical Center, located in Boston. Dr. Liebman then joined Massachusetts-based Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 2007, as part of her residency and at the completion of her training, joined the practice full-time last July. She now sees children in the practice’s Westwood and Mansfield offices.

On Dec. 13 Dr. Liebman learned that she successfully passed a rigorous full-day examination by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). That means she has become fully board-certified in General Pediatrics, and has earned the added status of being a “Diplomat of the ABP.” Dr. Liebman’s clinical interests include newborn and infant care, developmental pediatrics and allergies. In her free time she enjoys scrapbooking and reading. While continuing to visit her parents for family events and holidays, she now lives in Canton, Mass.
