Rockville Centre Police issue Halloween warning

The Rockville Centre Police Department reminds parents and teenagers that all state and local laws will be strictly enforced on Halloween night, Sunday, Oct. 31 and on the night preceding Halloween, as well. Crimes against people or property, impeding pedestrian or vehicular traffic and other violations will not be tolerated.
Enforcement will be especially heightened around Harvard Avenue and the footbridges across Peninsula Boulevard.
The Village Attorney reminds parents and legal guardians that they are financially liable for the actions of their children and can be sued for as much as $5,000 for the destruction of property.
