Rockville Centre resident shines in the Starlight

Rockville Centre resident Jack Terranova, a senior vice president at Cassidy Turley, a commercial real estate service provider, has been named the 2010 honoree of the Starlight Children’s Foundation of New York/New Jersey/Connecticut. The foundation hosted its 7th annual golf outing on July 19 at The Mill River Club in Oyster Bay.

  Founded in 1983, Starlight Children's Foundation is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.

  “Jack’s dedication and involvement with the Starlight Children’s Foundation are exemplary,” said Eric Mockler, senior managing director at Cassidy Turley. “Cassidy Turley is a proud supporter of the foundation and its mission.”

  Jack Terranova has been with Cassidy Turley since 2000. He manages 5 million square feet of commercial office space within the Property Management Operations Department. And he assists four other portfolio managers and provides oversight of technical and operational issues within the Cassidy Turley New York portfolio which consists of over 12 million square feet of commercial office space.

  Terranova was recently named the 2010 Corporate Management Executive of the Year by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). He has been selected and serves on various industry boards and committees including REBNY and the New York Energy Consumer Council (NYECC). He also frequently contributes to industry journals.

In 2009, he received the Torch Foundation’s 2009 Professional of the Year award. Terranova is married and the proud father of two.
