Rockville Centre weathers the storm

Passing cars made waves as they navigated through the intersection of Brower Avenue and Hamilton Road. Flooding was reported in other areas of the village and was said to be particularly bad at the intersection of Hempstead and Lakeview avenues at the height of the storm.

The predicted bad weather was slow in coming, but when it arrived it pummeled the village with heavy rain and high winds, at the height of the early-morning rush on Friday. Motorists had to deal with ponding on the roads in the usual places and resulting traffic delays. There were no reports of any outages in the village.
