Rockville Centre's high-lights of the season

Posted

Central Synagogue was abuzz last Sunday with celebrations of Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights. In addition to Chanuplex, an afternoon of activities for all ages that included live music, arts and crafts, a discussion group, movie and refreshments, rabbis Marc Gruber of Central Synagogue and Howard Diamond of Temple B’nai Sholom were joined residents of the community and local officials who briefly braved the cold to participate in the annual lighting of the community menorah on the front steps of the synagogue.

Late Monday afternoon, the South Shore section of the National Council of Jewish Women held its annual Hanukkah party— open to children of all faiths —at the Recreation Center.
