A woman was found with cuts to her arm and face outside a Mott Avenue home in Inwood on Sept. 26, and Nassau police linked the alleged assault to Ivan Cullins, who it was discovered was involved in what police called “an earlier disturbance that escalated into stabling and slashing the victim with a knife.”

The woman, 42, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Cullins, 56, of Roosevelt, was found a brief time later and arrested.

He is charged with attempted murder second-degree, assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

The judge issued a temporary restraining order. Cullins pleaded not guilty and was remanded without bail. He is represented by Keving Morgan. His next court date is Oct. 1.
