School #5 Donates Art to South Nassau

Posted

For about seven years, School #5 has been donating children’s art to South Nassau Communities Hospital. Last week, members of the student council delivered several pieces of art representing School #5 classes. Each piece was a collaborative effort. The style of the art was inspired by internationally known artist Keith Harig, who got his start as an artist in New York City. After their visit to SNCH, Principal Diane Provvido asked the students how they felt about the action. Alessandra Biangiardo said that she knew how it felt to be visiting the hospital and it made her feel good to know her actions might bring a smile to the faces of people who find themselves there.

The students who presented the donation to SNCH were Alessandra Biangiardo, Richard Maloney, Dylan Sardine, Nicholas Wollweber, Vincent McCabe, Brooke Scully, Lindsay McFall, Roshan Manmadhan and Thomas Budzitowski. They were greeted at SNCH by Gail Carlin, Director of Community Relations and External Affairs and Lynn Bert, RN, Nurse Manager.
