School 5 puts on a whale of a tale

The show may have been all wet, but it was still a hit.

The students of School 5 Performed their annual musical last week on the School 6 stage. This year’s show was “The Little Mermaid,” a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story of a mermaid princess who falls in love with a human prince, doing whatever she can to be with him.

Ariel, the mermaid, was played by Jillian Baehrle, and her human prince, Eric, was played by Richard Acosta. They were joined by Ariel’s crab sidekick from under the sea, Sebastian, played by Riana Carriere.

In the end, good triumphed over evil and, of course, love won. But the real winners were audience, who were treated to a splashing good time.
