The Village of Rockville Centre and American Legion Post 303 hosted a memorial ceremony on Dec. 7 commemorating those who died at Pearl Harbor. Mayor Francis X. Murray, Deputy Mayor Nancy Howard, Village Administrator Keith Spadaro and former Mayor Eugene Murray joined with the Rockville Centre Fire and Police color guard, along with a number of the village’s veterans, to pay their respects. The ceremony included the casting of a wreath on the water at Mill River Park, honoring the courage and sacrifice of American troops who died 72 years ago that day, and concluded with food and refreshments served at the post’s headquarters.
