Vitamin store robbed in Valley Stream

Police are investigating the robbery of a vitamin store in Valley Stream on Monday night.

According to detectives, two men armed with a gun entered the Vitamin Shoppe on Sunrise Highway shortly after 7 p.m. on June 25. They approached the store clerk and demanded money.

One of the robbers followed the clerk to the register and removed an undisclosed amount of cash. The men then fled the store and were last seen heading east on Sunrise Highway.

There was another employee and one customer in the store at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 40 to 50 years old, 5-foot-7, 140 pounds wearing a black hooded rain coat. The second suspect is described as a black male, 50 years old, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds wearing a dark rain coat.
