‘Whoopee’ comes to the Oceanside Middle School stage

The Oceanside Middle School musical — this year, the musical western “Whoopee” — was more fun than a rattlesnake in your carriage wheel.

It was the story of young love. Set in Arizona, Sally Morgan (Rachel Milberg) is set to marry Sheriff Bob Wells (Dean Klebonas). Unfortunately, Sally is in love with Wanenis (Austin Sharpe), the son of an American Indian chief. When Sally and Wanenis decide to run off together, the sheriff rounds up a posse to bring them back.

The show ran for two nights, Feb. 3 and 4, at the middle school auditorium.
