Closings announced in Wantagh and Seaford

The Wantagh School District will be operating on a two-hour early dismissal today, Jan. 26 because of the snowstorm.

For the high school, there will be no afternoon Regents or midterm exams. The middle school will dismiss at 1:02 p.m. and all three elementary schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. All middle and elementary students will be served lunch prior to dismissal. All after-school and evening activities, including SCOPE after-care, will be cancelled.

Seaford schools will be dismissing at a normal time, however, all after-school activities are canceled. Island Trees has also canceled all after-school events.

Levittown will be dismissing middle school students at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, and elementary school students at 3:15 p.m. All after-school activities, including ELA and math academies, have been canceled.

All Levittown Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27. No decision has been made about school on Wednesdsay. All in-class midterm exams scheduled for Jan. 26-28 will now be administered Feb. 2-4. Regents exams in Global History and Integrated Algebra, scheduled for Tuesday, have have now been moved to Friday.

The Seaford Library will be closing at 1 p.m. on Monday.
