During the Levittown Public Schools Board of Education meeting on March 10 at the Levittown Memorial Education Center, the board and community learned about the instructional apps and websites that are being utilized at the elementary level. Several individuals were also celebrated for their important contributions to the district.

At the start of the meeting, an informative video presentation, created by Abbey Lane and Summit Lane elementary schools, was shared. The video featured Abbey Lane Principal Dr. George Maurer, Summit Lane Principal Keith Squillacioti, students and staff. Together, they shared the benefits of using educational apps and programs such as FlipGrid, Jamboard, Nearpod, Seesaw and Whiteboard.fi to enhance learning.

In addition, the board recognized the members of the PTA Council Board and the PTA presidents from each school for their dedication to Levittown students and their families. Before Todd Winch, assistant superintendent for instruction, announced the names of each PTA member to receive their certificate, Board President Peggy Marenghi expressed her appreciation for their hard work.

“We thank you for all that you do,” she said. “You are such a pivotal part of our school communities.”

The board also honored members of the food service committee for their important role in making the district’s food service program a success. Individuals received a certificate for their contribution and commitment to the district.
