The Wantagh Board of Education began the 2022-2023 school year by welcoming a new trustee and selecting its officers at the July 6 reorganizational meeting at Wantagh High School.

Laura Reich and Jennifer Perfetti, both of whom were elected in May, were sworn in by district clerk Elaine McGuigan. Reich begins her second term, while Perfetti begins her first. Additionally, Reich was named Board of Education President and Tara Cassiday was named Vice President.
