The Seaford Public Library's seventh annual Adult Summer Reading Program kicked off in style on June 28.

The event, held in the library's side parking lot, drew a lively crowd with face painting for kids, ice cream, a bounce house, and outdoor games. The reading program, according to the library, was created to encourage adults to use their library card during the hot summer days, whether they prefer reading by pool or at the beach.

The festivities began in the morning, welcoming adults 18 and over to join the summer reading fun. Attendees received a bag of goodies and summer reading instructions upon registration. The event also featured exciting raffle prizes for those who signed up.
