Seaford residents donate third food delivery

Nearly 3,000 members of the Seaford community congregate daily on a Facebook group. They talk about various issues. Usually, topics roam from school issues and civic association inquiries to more lighthearted athletics and movie talk.

Recently, though, group administrator Donna Jebaily has been orchestrating food donations for local hospitals to support medical personnel on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In an effort to involve as many local businesses as possible, the Seaford community has collected money to order trays of food from three different local restaurants.

Most recently, on April 7, the Seaford community collected money to have Seaford’s Gusto Divino Trattoria on Sunrise Highway deliver food and drinks to Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre.

The food delivered included both hot trays of prepared meals and a cold pre-made salad platter, as well loaves of bread and soft drinks. The group will continue to collect donations to have more food delivered to medical professionals.
