On Friday, June 21, Nancy Seltzer was nominated to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board Development Committee. For many years, the Girl Scouts of Nassau County has guided Girl Scouts on their path to demonstrate good leadership, character, and devotion to their community through their active service.

“Girl Scouts of Nassau County is proud to have such prestigious and accomplished members on its Board of Directors and Board Development Committee who inspire and empower our Girl Scouts,” said Randell Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Nassau County.

Nancy Seltzer made her career mark in Girl Scouts ten years ago by working as Brownie Leader. Afterwards, Nancy moved further up by serving as SUVM for the Seaford Wantagh Service Unit before partnering with the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. Through the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Nancy taught Girls Scouts computer science from Girls Who Code, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating women about the advancement of technology. She’s also the owner of Snapology, a STEM education company following the same mission as Girls Who Code to Girl Scouts.

A ceremony was held at the Ruth S. Harley University Center during the Committee’s 59th Annual Meeting on Adelphi University's campus.

“I am confident that this group of leaders will help cultivate the Girl Scout experience and help fulfill our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place,” Bynum said.
