Former Mepham High School students, some of whom graduated as early as 1941, met up for the Scuttlebutt magazine’s “mailing party.” Led by editor Clare Eastwood Worthing, class of ’46, and her husband, Jerry Worthing, the production manager and a ’41 graduate, the team labeled and bundled the magazines for mailing to more than 2,000 members. more

Much was the same about this year’s Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District graduation ceremonies on Sunday. Seniors came attired in their caps and gowns –– blue robes for Calhoun, green for Kennedy and red for Mepham. Excited parents showered their now adult children with flowers and balloons, and snapped hundreds of photos. more

Students at W.C. Mepham High School in North Bellmore were recently recognized by MSG Varsity and Cablevision’s Power to Learn for their participation in Charity Champions, for which students compete to raise money for charitable causes. more
