Residents of Dogwood Terrace, an affordable housing complex in Franklin Square for those 55 or older, have been anticipating redevelopment of the buildings since January. They are still waiting for a date when the developer, Georgica Green Ventures, will break ground so that they can figure out their relocation plans during the construction period.

The Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department dedicated its new three-story training facility to the late former fire district commissioner Joseph Torregrossa, who was highly involved with the installation of the facility before he died last year. Local elected pfficials, members of the Franklin Square and Munson Fire department and Torregrossa’s family honored his memory at the dedication ceremony on Nov. 19.
