Man falls from excavator in Inwood

At the Inwood Material Terminal on Sheridan Boulevard in Inwood, an unidentified man fell off the platform of an excavator on Sept. 17.

An unidentified man fell off the platform of an excavator and onto the ground at the Inwood Material Terminal at 1 Sheridan Blvd., in Inwood ay 8:10 a.m., on Sept, 17.
The Inwood Fire Department was on scene treating the victim for back trauma that he suffered from the fall. The Nassau County Police Aviation unit transported the man to a local hospital for further treatment. The man was “conscious and alert,” police said.
The investigation into what happened is continuing, according to police.
