N. Bellmore FD responds to house fire

The North Merrick Fire Department, Bellmore Fire Department and East Meadow Fire Department responded to the scene as mutual aid. A GoFundMe has been set up for the family.

On Dec. 4, the North Bellmore Fire Department responded to a house fire at around 10:30 p.m. on Herkimer Street in N. Bellmore.
The North Merrick Fire Department, Bellmore Fire Department and East Meadow Fire Department were also on the scene as mutual aid.
The fire was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes. A GoFundMe has been set up for the family, with the organizer stating that “everything they owned that was in the house was lost.”
As of Dec. 6, the GoFundMe has raised over $15,000 with a $18,000 goal.
