Students at Reinhard Early Childhood Center in the Bellmore School District celebrated a milestone Feb. 12 as they marked the 100th day of school.
Known as Rising Star Leaders, the young students took part in themed activities throughout the day, including creating “100th day monsters” made up of 10 sets of 10 features and decorating posters with 100 dots or objects.
Leading up to the celebration, students also organized a cereal box collection that generated more than 1,000 donations. The drive culminated with the boxes being lined up through the halls and toppled like dominos as classmates and staff watched.
The festivities continued Feb. 13, when students celebrated the 101st day of school by dressing as dalmatians inspired by the 101 Dalmatians, wrapping up the week with a playful sendoff ahead of the February recess.
