Nassau police visit Northern Parkway school

Posted

There was a helicopter, there was an Emergency Services Unit truck, the mounted unit saddled up and students and probably some teachers asked questions of the Nassau County Police Department personnel that came to Northern Parkway Elementary School on May 28.

Fresh from Memorial Day, students met with officers from NCPD’s Aviation Unit, Bureau of Special Operations, Community Affairs, ESU, the motorcycle platoon, the K-9 Unit and problem-oriented police.

The units conducted demonstrations and Leo the Lion, the mascot for Nassau County’s Police Activity League, was on hand for high-fives.
