Thomas Lonergan, 60, died on May 28 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington,VT. He was born on October 15,1949 in New York, NY to the late Michael and Lillian Lonergan. They moved to East Rockaway when Thomas was a child. He is survived by his four children: Thomas, Terrence, Joseph, Roxanne and a brother Joseph Lonergan, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. more

East Rockaway hosted its annual Stars & Stripes Festival under sunny skies last weekend. The festival, a three-day event, ran from June 30 through July 1. Newton Shows provided rides, attractions, games and food. People of all ages were able to enjoy the warm weather and great food, along with the attractions and fantastic live entertainment. more
