Let me take you on a sea cruise

East Rockaway resident and New York City firefighter Brian Dessart took part in the third annual charity auction at Turtle Bay in Manhattan recently.

Each New York City Firefighter featured on the City of the Brave calendar was auctioned off for different events, such as paint ball, dinner, rock climbing, comedy shows, wine tasting and more. One lucky winner went for a night cruise with Dessart around New York City.

Dessart also made an appearance on the Today Show Monday morning. Along with the 11 other firefighters who are featured on the 2010 City of the Brave calendar, the men talked about winter fire safety.
