Police are seeking Josh T. Niewierowski, a missing New Hyde Park 18-year-old non-verbal autistic male who communicates by hand gestures. He has brown eyes, brown hair, a beard, crooked teeth. He is 5'11", 170 lbs., was last seen with siblings visiting a friend's house on July 19 at 3 p.m. at 3 Griffin Pl.,Lynbrook.

He was wearing a green T-shirt with Camp Anchor logo on pocket, beige cargo shorts, black hat with “Maryland” written on it, blue sneakers, traveling unknown by on foot. He needs medication (Risperidone) 3-4 times a day. His bracelet I.D. shows his disability: autistic, non-verbal/cognitive disorder.

The silver alert program has been established in order to disseminate immediate information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
