Lynbrook kindergartners learn about dental care

Students from Lynbrook’s Kindergarten Center learned that going to the dentist really can be fun when they paid a special visit to the office of Lynbrook’s Dr. Todd Kshonz.
Using giant teeth and toothbrushes, magic tricks and games, Kshonz talked about good foods — carrots, oranges, milk, nuts and fish — and bad foods — lollipops, Skittles and soda. He also enlisted the aid of students to demonstrate the importance of brushing and flossing every day. After the demonstration, students broke into groups to take turns riding in the dental chair, examining Xrays of teeth and playing games. This was just one part of the Kindergarten Center’s celebration of Community Week.
