The body of a missing Elmont woman may have turned up in New York City. Nassau County police are awaiting a positive identification of the body.

Rose Ormejuste, 65, went missing on June 23 when her husband and son were found dead in their 238th Street home in Elmont. Nasasu County police say the car missing from the home was recently found in Brooklyn, with a matching license plate number.

Nassau County Police Det. Vincent Garcia said New York City Police told them there was a body found in the car, but they are unsure if it is Ormejuste. "We can't confirm the identity of the body," he said.

Nassau police are awaiting the vehicle to do their own testing. Garcia said the vehicle should arrive late today or tomorrow, July 8.

Dario Ormejuste, 24, son of Rose, is suspected in the murder of his father and brother and is in police custody. He is charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
