Sewanhaka students join language honor society

Sewanhaka’s World Languages Honor Society inducted 110 students on April 16. Sewanhaka alumnus J.P. Tuberquia addressed students during the ceremony.

Sewanhaka High School’s World Languages Honor Society inducted 110 students on April 16 at the Inn at New Hyde Park.

World Language teacher Carmen Graci organized the induction ceremony, which is especially significant this year since Sewanhaka is now a member of the National World Languages Honor Society. Sewanhaka alumnus J.P. Tuberquia, who is currently enrolled in a master’s program for languages, served as keynote speaker. The students and their families enjoyed a wonderful dinner and had a great time at the event.
