Lawrence district was open, but other Five Towns schools were closed

Hewlett-Woodmere School District schools were closed and all afterschool and evening activities were cancelled, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, the Hebrew Academy for Special Children, both in Woodmere, the Brandeis School in Lawrence and all divisions of the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach, including Davis Renov Stahler and Stella K. Abraham high schools were are also closed due to the snowstorm on Feb. 3. more
