As of 10:37 p.m., here are the unofficial results of the Sanitary District 1 election.
Avi Fertig gained 230 votes in an unopposed election.
Fertig, who is seeking re-election on the five member commissioner board, has served as one over the last three years after the death of long-time Commissioner Harry Beltrani.
An advocate for additional services to the community such as Shredding Day, Fertig was one of the driving forces to bring it back twice this year when the service was halted because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
