A 9-year-old girl suffered injuries after falling off of the diving board at the North Woodmere Park pool on July 25.

The child had contusions to her head, neck pain and a possible fractured left arm, Nassau County Police said. An eyewitness said the diving board is roughly 12 feet off the ground.

Just after 5 p.m., she slipped when jumping off the high dive, landing on concrete, Bonnie Polansky wrote in a Facebook post.

She was taken from the 750 Hungry Harbor Road pool, by NCPD helicopter to a local hospital for treatment.
