Far Rockaway man arrested for Inwood burglary

A pair of iPhones were allegedly stolen by a Far Rockaway man who entered an apartment on Bayview Avenue in Inwood on June 10, Nassau County police said.

At 1:30 a.m., a man who was sleeping was woken up by a noise and found Kamarion King, 26, of Beach 24th Street, Far Rockaway, in his bedroom, according to police. King ran and left the apartment through the back and took off on foot, police said.

After a search of the apartment, the man discovered that two iPhones were missing and called the police. The police responded and a brief time later King returned to the same building and knocked on the door of another apartment, police said. A woman answered the door and King allegedly forced himself inside and ran upstairs, police said. Officer entered the apartment and tussled with King before he was finally handcuffed and taken into custody. No injuries were reporter. 

He is charged with burglary second-degree, criminal trespass second-degree, grand larceny fourth-degree and resisting arrest. Arraigned in Mineola on June 10, his next court date is June 15. King is represented by Garden City Parked-based lawyer Mindy Plotkin.
