Hewlett students excel at physical education

The New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and Nassau Zone recognized Hewlett High School students Pasquale Vardaro and Samantha Schecter.
A male and female student from high schools across the state are awarded medals for their concern about health and wellness, their level of fitness and attention to values encouraged by the physical education program that is in line with the state’s curriculum learning standards.
The state association is a professional that supports, encourages, facilitates, advocates and promotes physically active and healthy lifestyles through school and community programs in health education, physical education, recreation and dance.
