An alleged hit-and-run killed Inwood resident Esmeralda Larios-Perez in North Lawrence on Dec. 12.

A woman, now identified as Esmeralda Larios-Perez, was crossing Burnside Avenue heading north at Washington Place in North Lawrence when a vehicle struck her at 7:22 p.m. on Dec. 12, Nassau police said.
The vehicle did not stop and left the scene, according to police. T. Larios-Perez, 34, of Inwood, suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 244-8477 or 911. All calls are confidential.
