Much singing and dancing at SULAM-LI benefit

The rockabilly band, Squeaky Clean, and the choirs from The Brandeis School and Temple Avodah performed at SULAM-LI’s annual benefit concert at Temple Beth El. SULAM, a Five Towns-based special education program, is a collaboration of seven synagogues including, Congregation Sons of Israel, Hewlett-East Rockaway Jewish Centre, Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Emeth, Temple Am Echad, Temple Beth El, Temple Hillel and Temple Israel.

In Hebrew, Sulam means ladder and the programs offered provides a step up in the Jewish education of children with special needs. All proceeds from the concert will benefit SULAM-LI.
