A pair of teenagers were arrested for the attempted burglary of a house on Strathmore Street in Woodmere on May 4 at 1:31 p.m.

Obadiah Lashley, 17, of Ruby Street in Brooklyn and a 15-year-old juvenile from Queens were seen ringing the front doorbell of the home and cutting the screen to a sliding glass door, police said.

A witness called the police and they found the two teens in a rear yard several houses away, according to police.

Lashley is charged with attempted burglary-second degree and was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on May. The juvenile’s case will be handled in Family Court, police said.
