Two Queens men arrested for North Woodmere theft

Joley Aristhee, 19, of Queens Village and Jawad Jimoh, 18, of Rosedale, were arrested for the alleged theft of two car tires and rims from a vehicle in North Woodmere at 3:10 a.m. on April 1.

Police received a call about a man running towards the intersection of Cedarhurst Street and Park Lane with a car tire and rim in his hand. At the corner, another man in a gray Nissan Altima met him, police said. Together the men put the tire in the trunk and drove west on Park Lane, according to police.

At Caldwell Avenue North, the police stopped the vehicle and found two car tires and rims in the trunk of the Nissan.

Aristhee and Jimoh are charged with grand larceny-fourth degree and will be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
