A Franklin Square man was arrested for burglary on Feb. 29 at 6:53 a.m. in Franklin Square, according to the 5th Precinct. According to detectives, police officers from the 5th Precinct responded to a burglary call at Sleepy’s, located at 1080 Hempstead Turnpike, and when officers arrived, they were informed by a witness that a man had entered the rear of the store. Police said that Vincent Piccinonno, 55, was found inside of the business, and was placed under arrest without incident. Piccinonno was charged with third-degree burglary, and was arraigned on March 1 at the First District Court in Hempstead. more
