‘Kickin’ Country’ Festival
The lively sounds of country tunes can be heard at the Long Beach Public Library this weekend, the venue for the Kickin’ Country Music Festival in the City by the Sea. The festival, presented by Artists in Partnership and the Long Beach Public Library, showcases country, Americana and bluegrass music, performed by renowned local and New York City-based bands. The festival opens with the dynamic duo of singer-songwriter Annie Mark and guitarist Chris James on Friday, at 7 p.m., followed by the quartet of Jim Treutlein, Debbie Novak, Joe Perricone and Mike Leuci (aka Treutlein, Novak, Perricone & Leuci), with their take on Americana music. The weekend also includes a tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter, along with children’s activities.
