Two men arrested for allegedly selling tobacco products to minors in W. Hempstead, Franklin Square

Two men were arrested for allegedly selling tobacco products to minors as part of the Nassau County Police Department Community Oriented Police Enforcement Project 21 initiative on July 25 at 6 p.m..

Nebil Asmed, 25, of Biltmore Avenue, Elmont, allegedly sold tobacco products to a minor at Twelve Twelve Smoke Shop on Woodfield Road in West Hempstead. He was charged with alleged unlawfully dealing with a child, sale of flavored products prohibited and the sale of tobacco products.

Mohanad Alteshee, 21, of Macaky Place, Brooklyn, allegedly sold tobacco products to a minor at LI Smokers Depot on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square. He was charged with alleged unlawfully dealing with a child, criminal possession of controlled substance, sale of flavored products prohibited and the sale of tobacco products.

Asned is due back in Hempstead District Court Aug. 8. Alteshee was arraigned in Hempstead District Court July 26.
