The Franklin Square Public Library welcomed a new trustee and honored a longtime board member during its annual reorganization meeting on July 6.
Antonia Abreu was sworn in as the library's newest trustee, while William Youngfert received a Distinguished Trustee Award recognizing his 22 years of service to the library.
Library officials also announced that voters approved the library's 2026-27 budget with 80.5% support, the highest approval rate in the library's history.
The library board meets at 6 p.m. on select Mondays throughout the year unless otherwise noted. The next meeting is scheduled for July 27. For a complete meeting schedule and more information, visit fslibrary.org.
