Guy Rivera sentenced to 115 years to life in prison for fatal shooting of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, Queens DA says

According to Queen’s District Attorney Melinda Katz, Guy Rivera was given his sentence earlier today of 115 years to life in prison after a jury convicted him of first-degree aggravated manslaughter and first-degree attempted murder.

Rivera was acquitted of first-degree murder at his trial earlier this month.

Prosecutors said Rivera fatally shot NYPD officer and former Elmont and Massapequa resident Jonathan Diller, and attempted to kill Sasha Rosen during an encounter in Far Rockaway on March 25, 2024.
