Nassau County District Attorney welcomes class of law assistants

The Nassau County District Attorney’s Office welcomed its Fall 2022 class of 24 Law Assistants on Sept. 6th. The new recruits began with a four-week training program, which included practical lectures on discovery obligations, discussions of prosecutors’ ethics and conduct, performance-based workshops and exercises on interviewing witnesses and preparing for hearings and trials, and specific-case prosecution training on DWI cases and special victims crimes. All of the Law Assistants have now been assigned to the District Court Trial Bureau where they will begin working on misdemeanor prosecutions and arraignments.

You recently posted an article announcing me joining the Nassau County District Attorney's Office. Please update it to reflect my correct title, Assistant District Attorney. A law assistant is a recent law school graduate who is not admitted to practice law. Please see the link below:,147611?
