Robbery in Franklin Square

The Robbery Squad reports the details of a robbery that occurred on May 15 at 9:40 am in Franklin Square.
According to detectives, two men entered Luchie Capri Jewelers located at 969 Hempstead Turnpike posing as customers. After a short time, one of the subjects produced a stun gun and demanded property from the 65-year-old male victim. The subjects then grabbed a nearby knap sack filled with assorted jewelry and fled the scene on foot westbound Hempstead Turnpike and then southbound on Williams Street. Subject #1 is described as male Hispanic 5’8”, heavy build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. Subject #2 is described as a male Hispanic 6”, wearing dark pants and a black sweatshirt. One employee was inside the store at the time of the crime. There were no injuries.
