Family Fun

Ahoy Mateys
Captain Billy Bones (aka entertainer David Engel) swaggers onto the Long Island Children’s Museum stage for a swashbuckling adventure. This riotous, interactive pirate show satisfies the kids’ curiosity for the briny buccaneers of yore. Captain Billy, considered to be a good pirate, teaches youngsters four and up the finer points of light-hearted mischief. Everyone can join in some riotous, joyful competitions that will rattle the rafters, along with zany lessons on how to stand, talk, sing and laugh like the jaunty pirates of days gone by.
Sunday, Jan. 10, 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. $9 with museum admission ($7 members), $12 theater only. Long Island Children’s Museum, Museum Row, Garden City. (516) 224-5800 or www.licm.org.
