Two men arrested for alleged Lawrence theft

Nassau police arrested two Queens men who allegedly were part of a theft from the Kay Jewelers on Rockaway Turnpike in Lawrence on Sept. 8.

Two men were arrested for grand larceny in Lawrence at 2:50 p.m., on Sept. 8, Nassau police said.
Demari Harvey, 20, allegedly fled the Kay Jewelers on Rockaway Turnpike with a necklace that he was trying on valued at roughly $5,700. Kymani Blake, also 20, was allegedly in the store with Harvey.
Harvey, of 253rd Street in Rosedale, was arrested near Branch Boulevard and Redwood Drive. Blake, of 114th Road in St. Albans, was arrested in the store, according to police.
Harvey and Blake were both charged with grand larceny. They will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Sept. 9.
