Sat Sept. 16, Deep Roots Farmers Market 

Deep Roots returns with another farmer’s market, Saturday, Sept. 16, 9 a..m.-1 p.m. Find a great selection of locally grown vegetables, organic eggs, grass fed meats and dairy, fresh baked bread and sweets, honey, and other locally made products. All products are grown or produced on Long Island. All produce is grown using sustainable and chemical free growing practices. Weekly guest craft/artist vendors, and live music, too. Enjoy goodies from all your favorite vendors in the parking lot just west of the Beacon Condos on Garvies Point Road.

Saturday Sept. 16, Sagamore Hill Band

Enjoy historical tunes with the Sagamore Hill Band and Roosevelt Songbirds, Saturday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m., on the grounds of Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay, near the Pet Cemetery. Their mission is to collect, preserve and present music dedicated to, or connected with, Theodore Roosevelt. Rain date is Sept. 23. Sunday Sept. 17, Constitution Day

Sept. 17 is the 136th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution.  Celebrate this historic day at Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay, Sunday, Sept. 17, from noon to 4 p.m.. Board members will be at the picnic tables under the tent handing out free pocket-sized booklets containing the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. 20 Sagamore Hill Road, Oyster Bay. Wednesday Sept. 20, Ice cream kits

We all love ice cream. Kids in grades 6-12 can learn how to make the frozen treat in 10 minutes, Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Gold Coast Public Library. Kits are available all day and will include the directions and most of the ingredients on how to make your ice cream. This kit will not include the needed one cup of half and half, milk or ice, due to their perishable nature. 50 Railroad Ave., Glen Head. Information is available at GoldCoastLibrary.org.

Thursday Sept. 28, Wheelchair Basketball tournament

Kiwanis of Glen Cove  holds at wheelchair basketball tournment, at Glen Cove City High School,  Thursday, Sept. 28, starting at 6:30 p.m. $5 admission,  kids under five free. 150 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove.
