April is recognized nationwide as Physical Wellness Month a time to reflect on the habits that support overall health and quality of life. While most people focus on exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress, one critical component is often overlooked: hearing.
Hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ears) are often dismissed as normal parts of aging. However, research shows untreated hearing loss affects far more than hearing. It is linked to cognitive decline, depression, social isolation, increased fall risk, poor sleep, and even dementia.
