Downing Primary school kindergarteners take magical Polar Express journey

Posted

Before the holiday break, kindergarten students at Maurice W. Downing Primary School embarked on a magical journey aboard the Polar Express.

Principal Erik Walter donned his conductor’s hat and welcomed students as they prepared for their imaginative trip.

Each young traveler received a ticket, which was punched before entering the gym. Walter brought the classic holiday story to life through engaging storytelling, complete with music and sound effects that helped spark students’ imaginations.

After finishing the story, students “disembarked” from the train and returned to their classrooms, where they participated in holiday-themed crafts and activities.

The annual Polar Express experience brings the holiday spirit to life while creating lasting memories for students.
